Animal Activities Licensing

The Animal Activities Licensing (AAL) legislation requires any business in England that is commercially trading live animals, or boarding cats or dogs either during the day or overnight to have a licence. Businesses such as kennels, home boarders, dog daycares, catteries, pet shops and breeders all fall under this legislation.  A key part of guidance for many licences is that staff are appropriately trained and holding level 2 or level 3 Ofqual regulations are cited. IPET Network has developed a range of qualifications to meet the requirements of the licences and we promote further professional development and ongoing learning during any pet professionals career.
