'KSBs' is a common acronym in the apprenticeship industry, known by apprentices, employers & learning coaches.
KSBs are what an apprentice will be graded on in their EPA (End Point Assessment).
Week 1 - "Knowledge"
Knowledge is POWER! The apprentice will develop a level of theoretical and practical understanding of the subject area they working towards whilst working through their ‘on programme’ training
Training Provider Top Tips
1. Support the employer to question the apprentice with ‘distinction’ questions.
2. Set CPD activities to support the learning to achieve the distinction grade e.g quiz the apprentice can also record this as part of the 20% off-the-job training
3. Embed the apprenticeship standard gradings from enrolment
4. Review, feedback and stretch the knowledge throughout the duration on learning.
