LEST WE FORGET
This week the iPET Network team shared in our thoughts the incredible role that our canine companions carried out in the war. Some of their many duties included the detection of mines, identifying and digging out bomb victims, acted as guard and patrol dogs. This courageous species battled on in unimaginable circumstances showing their bravery and loyalty to their handlers.
“They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.”
