Mental Health Day 2021
Socialisation is the process by which puppies learn to relate appropriately to people and other animals.
During the first part of a dog’s life effective experience can shape the future temperament and character of the dog.
Not having these experiences can create dogs that are more anxious or develop behaviour problems.
Socialisation in humans is just as importance and provides the basis which we can gradually see ourselves through the eyes of others.
For adults who join new social groups then socialisation is extremely valuable it provides norms, values, beliefs, and behaviours.
Throughout an individuals life socialisation is key to a healthy mindset and as they get older it becomes just as important.
iPET Network have created the Level 2 Award in Protecting Humans and Animals in Today's Society, in this qualification we explore mental health in both Humans and Animals and techniques to become more connected.
