National Racing College joins iPET Network
The National Racing College Partners with iPET Network to Elevate Equine Welfare and Standards in the Racing Industry. The National Horse Racing college have joined as a Training Provider delivering the iPET Network Level 3 Award in Equine Emergency First Aid.
The National Horseracing College, based in the picturesque grounds of Rossington Hall, south of Doncaster, is proud to announce its new partnership with iPET Network as an approved Training Provider. Established in 1984, The National Horseracing College has been at the forefront of equine education for nearly four decades, providing training to over 16,000 people each year. Its programs cater to more than 500 learners of all ages hailing from various corners of the British Isles and representing diverse roles within the horseracing industry.
The College's commitment to fostering talent is exemplified through its 12-week residential Foundation Course, open to new entrants. Additionally, they offer apprenticeships at Levels 2 and 3, and other specialised training to support experienced staff in building their careers and pursuing jockey and trainer licenses. The College takes immense pride in the success of its Foundation Course graduates as they make their mark in the industry, and they warmly welcome alumni back for specialised courses to further their professional growth.

The Racing Staff Development Programme (RSDP), managed by the NHC and owned by the British Horseracing Authority, was launched in 2019 with the goal of supporting the racing industry's workforce. This initiative offers a wide range of training opportunities aimed at developing horsemanship and horse management skills among racing personnel. The RSDP ensures that training can be taken directly to the workplace, removing geographical barriers and increasing accessibility. The program encompasses regular yard-based work rider training, horse management events, webinars, senior coaching qualifications, rider coaching activities, and virtual learning activities, all designed to enrich the expertise of racing staff.
