Canicross Coach Ltd was founded by Directors Emily Thomas & Dawn Crook-Richards in 2021.Emily has been a lifelong dog owner taking up the sports of Canicross and Bikejor in 2009 as a way of keeping her and her rescue dogs fit and healthy and in 2012 Emily set up K9 Trail Time, an online business retailing specialist sports equipment to take part in the dog sports she loves.
Emily has raced all over the country with her dogs in both National and International competitions, and this led to the start of Canicross Coach in 2021 with Co-Director Dawn Crook-Richards who runs the longest-running canicross specific canicross race series in the UK – CaniX and has also raced Nationally & Internationally with her dogs but mainly focuses now on running the events.
ross Coach Ltd provides comprehensive information and everything needed to know when you’re canicross training, from building a business, risk assessing, dog welfare to specific equipment and advice on behaviour, tips on nutrition and structured training plans for canicross beginners, to allow them the best possible introduction to the sport.
Emily & Dawn wanted to provide a dog-centered approach to canicross training for people who want to coach others to canicross, and the core of the business has always been the dog centred approach to the classes, with the dog at the forefront of everything they do and Canicross Coach Ltd promotes responsible activity with your dog using positive training methods to have fun and build a bond with your dog that will last a lifetime.
