We are pleased to announce our new Training Provider, The College of West Anglia (@cwa_college)
"The College of West Anglia specialises in land based courses at their Cambridge campus, including animal care, equine management, dog grooming and animal science.
Colette Vaissiere (RVN, IQA) qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2010 and worked in veterinary practice for 14 years. During her time in practice, Colette worked as a head veterinary nurse, practice manager and clinical coach. She enjoyed training future veterinary nurses, promoting nurse clinics, especially improving feline friendly practice and emergency care of patients. Colette has worked at the College of West Anglia as a lecturer for the nearly three years and teaches on a range of animal related qualifications that support the health and welfare of animals. She is passionate about helping learners achieve their full potential.
Dr Stella Chapman (MRCVS, BVSc (Hons), MSc, PGCE, PgCert Teaching and Learning, FHEA) is a veterinarian with a keen interest in animal welfare, which has developed over the past ten years to focus on the area of veterinary shelter medicine for her PhD. Stella has worked mainly in an educational setting for the past ten years and is a firm believer that education is a powerful tool to advocate for animal welfare and as a result change the lives of both people and animals. Stella is a keen researcher and has published in various journals on a wide range of subjects and has written a book on handling and restraint of animals. "
